Superpower Day "Confidence Projection' - Day 3 WEGO Health Blog

I'm participating in the WEGO Health Blog's 'Health Activist Writer's Month Challenge' where bloggers are asked to write about their conditions. The goal is to write from these 30 health related prompts for 30 days April.

Today is day number three.
Superpower Day. If you had a superpower - what would it be? How would you use it?

Confidence Projection

The superpower I would choose is Confidence Projection.
Yes, you read that right. I want to be able to project confidence to Grace. Through every thing that life has to offer. Imagine the situation that presents itself. Imagine that BAM! - Confidence Projection appears from inside Mom, directly to Grace.
And her mindset changes to one of confidence and assurance.

Imagine - you feel awful after you SWAGged a bolus that went awry.
BAM!
Confidence Projection
It's OK, you will get it next time, everyone makes mistakes, or doesn't know a carb count. Good try.

Imagine - hiding the pump from people you don't know, cause they don't know about Type 1.
BAM!
Confidence Projection
It's alright, I can hide it now, but if they are my true friends, it won't matter that I have Type 1, it's just a part of who I am.

Imagine - trying out for the swim/cheer/volleyball/track team
BAM!
Confidence Projection
My diabetes will come along for the ride, but it will not determine what I can and cannot do in life.

Imagine - being the new girl at school, on the team, in the play, on the band.
BAM!
Confidence Projection
Hi, I'm Grace. Yeah, that's an insulin pump, I have diabetes. So, what position do you play, what instrument do you play? Oh, that's cool.

Imagine having confidence projected onto you, til you acquire it yourself. Until it becomes second nature to respond with confidence.
That would be my superpower with Grace.
One that I am already working on :0)
