2 am

Look familiar anyone?
This is our last night.
Just in case anyone was wondering what that 2 AM check looked like:

I know this is not funny, but it makes me giggle anyway. So yes this looks VERY familiar. But I turn the light on, poke his toe not his finger, he sleeps through the entire thing and goodness gracious, I don't log it anywhere - bless you for taking the time to do THAT!

And I hope your toes are okay!

Yes, it looks all too familiar. Except I too do not log it in her log book. I hope that your toe is okay!

Love this! Way too familiar. Hope your toe is ok, twice in one night?!

Gosh, I flip on the hall light, and the light right next to Grace's bed! She doesn't wake up, little sister doesn't wake up, NO ONE wakes up... but ME! Without the light I could never get the test strip to meet the blood droplet. Very frustrating. And no, I don't log the overnight numbers either!

So familiar to see this and such a good idea to post it. Hope the toes are better and these quilts are so comfy and homely-looking I feel like getting one started this evening!

I can't believe she wakes up enought to give you direction! My boys are dead to the world at 2:00am. I love that you did this! Only a D mom/dad can smile at it all!

Good hell woman - that made me laugh. Not laughing at you but laughing with you! So there - every night! Although I turn on the hall light for a little assistance. I may try to video myself tonight. I loved your video documentary!

Oh yea - and maybe if I WISH REALLY HARD I will get a good number like you did!!! :)

Hi Penny,

I'm a newbie to your blog, I just wanted to say that I loved this video...I can sooooo relate!

I have two daughters with type 1 diabetes and when I check their blood sugar at 3:00am I have one who sleeps through the whole thing without complaint...the other, not so much! She likes to roll around and fight it :(

I have to say...how in the world did you video tape and test at the same time?!!! You are a super star!

I love it! Well... not love it because getting up at 2 am sucks but you know what I mean. I may video myself, too, for fundraising purposes! Great idea! Hugs to your toes!
